Experience the Sea of Cortez
Nestled between the Baja California and the Mexican mainland, this truly remarkable body of water is distinguished by its incredibly diverse array of marine life, calm waters, pristine beaches, and unique geology both in and out of the water. Often called the “Aquarium of the World, the Sea of Cortez is one of the premier diving sites in the world.
The water temperature in the Sea of Cortez ranges from about 72 degrees in the winter to 86 degrees in the late summer.
Kayak
Casa Laura is equipped with 2 kayaks for your use during your stay. Insider tip...the absolute best time to kayak is at sunrise!
Snorkel
Punta Pescadero is a great place for beginning and advanced snorkelers alike! The waters are almost always calm and clear and you'll find your self in the middle of an awesome underwater aquarium. There are always at least 6 complete sets of snorkeling gear at Casa Laura for your group.
Stand Up Paddle Board
Take advantage of the calm waters to learn how to paddle board. There are 2 stand up paddle boards (SUP's) at Casa Laura-so hop on and have fun!
